Top 5 Tips to Help Pick your Universal Studios Resort

So you’ve decided to visit Universal Studios Orlando, but you’re not sure where to stay.  There are many choices to choose from, so it can be a tough choice.  I wanted to give you five tips to help make that choice a little easier. First, decide how much time you will be spending in your room and at your resort. If you really only plan to sleep there, then you may not want to pay for extra amenities, pools, etc. that a more expensive resort can offer.  If this is the case, you may want to look at one [...]

Why it’s Even More Important to Book Your Next Vacation with a Travel Professional

The travel industry is beginning to pick up just a bit.  I honestly think we are all just tired of staying at home and want to get out and explore!  But if you are thinking about planning a vacation for your family, I wanted to share some reasons why you really should consider using a travel professional to take care of those planning details for you. Some people do love to research and take care of the details of their own trip, and that’s great.  But in the post-COVID world (if we ever get there!), there are so many [...]

Healthy Sail Panel Recommendations for Cruising Again

Cruising has been hit harder by COVID-19 than any other part of the tourism industry. Between cruise lines voluntary suspensions of sailing, CDC no-sail orders, and CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) voluntary sailing suspensions, a large cruise ship has not sailed from the United States in over 6 months. While ALL of the cruise lines are anxious to get back to sailing, they all want to make sure that it is done safely, keeping in mind the health of both passengers and crew. Last spring, I was listening to a webinar featuring Richard Fain, Chairman and CEO of Royal [...]

Where Can You Go in the Caribbean Now?

If you’re looking for a luxury all-inclusive vacation, then you’re in luck!  Resorts are beginning to open up again.  And these resorts are keeping their guests’ health and safety as their top priority. Some of my favorite all-inclusive resorts are Sandals and Beaches resorts.  I love these resorts for many reasons, but mainly because almost everything is included in your price.  This may include things like golf and scuba diving (for certified divers), wi-fi and transfers to and from the resorts.  Sandals and Beaches resorts are also located on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and [...]

Visiting Walt Disney World During COVID

You probably know that Walt Disney World opened up again last month, after being closed for four months.  If you’ve wondered what’s happening there since they reopened, my family visited last month.  We took our twin girls on a surprise trip before they left for college, and we had a wonderful time! New COVID policies: Masks must be worn by all kids 2 and over. You must wear your mask at all times inside the parks, except when you are eating or drinking while staying stationary.  You cannot walk around the parks with your mask off drinking or eating.  Cast [...]

Is Now the Perfect Time to Go to Walt Disney World?

As you may know, Walt Disney World opened up to guests again recently.  Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom opened on July 11, and Epcot and Hollywood Studios opened on July 15.  There are new policies and procedures in place to keep guests safe, including masks worn by all guests, social distancing in the attraction queues, mobile ordering at restaurants, and more.  Disney is also requiring a reservation to get into the parks each day, which drastically reduces the number of guests at the parks.  Because of this, the crowds at all four Walt Disney World parks are at record [...]

Tour Canyons of the Southwest with Globus

In our last post you saw some highlights of an amazing tour of Yellowstone National Park with Adventures by Disney.  But there are other tour companies and other destinations to explore!  This week I wanted to give you another option for your National Park adventure, so let’s tour the Southwest canyons with Globus.  Globus is a tour company that I also highly recommend.  They eliminate the stress of planning your tour and offer VIP treatment and the perfect hotels and destinations.  Globus is a fantastic tour option for both adults and children alike.  Now let’s go! Day 1 Arrive [...]

Take a Tour of Yellowstone National Park

If you’ve never visited one of the US National Parks, you are missing out on some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  From the Grand Canyon to the redwoods in Yosemite, there are many sites to behold.  But getting around a national park can be a lot of planning.  Did you know that you usually need to plan your trip at least a year in advance to stay in one of the lodges in Yellowstone? If you’d like to let someone else do the planning so that you can just relax and enjoy, then a National Park [...]

Explore a National Park!

Taking a vacation may look a little different for you this year. Maybe you want to stay closer to home, or maybe you’d rather travel to a place with fewer crowds. Exploring a National Park (or 2) may just be the vacation you’ve been looking for! The United States has established 62 unique national parks, plus another 350 national monuments, seashores, battlefields, recreation areas, parkways, etc. Our National Parks can be found in 29 states plus American Samoa and the US Virgin Islands. What I love most about the National Park system is that each one is so unique. [...]
