There are some new things happening at a few of the Sandals and Beaches resorts, and it’s all good news! As you probably remember, the Caribbean got hit with several hurricanes this past fall. Hurricane Irma caused some damage to the Turks & Caicos and the Beaches resort there. Luckily there was no major structural damage to the resort, but those in charge decided to close the resort to all guests and spruce things up. In addition to fixing the damage that was done, Beaches resorts decided to make some changes, to make this family resort better than ever! They have expanded your dining options with the addition of Beaches’ first Indian restaurant, Bombay Club. This brings the total number of dining options at this resort to 21! They also added two food truck offerings to the water park area. Mr. Mac offers amazing mac ‘n cheese, and you can try Curls ‘n Swirls for a delicious ice cream snack.
Beaches also added some amazing entertainment for you, including a fish fry on Wednesdays and a weekly beach party. Beaches Turks & Caicos opened on December 14 to guests, even ahead of schedule! This is my favorite Beaches resort, so I’d love to help you plan your next vacation there to check out the new offerings!
The next resort that is opening it’s doors again is Sandals Grande Antigua. This resort closed in September of this year for planned renovations. The resort has not given us many details of what is being renovated and updated, so I can’t wait to see what they have done! Originally they had allocated 5 months for these renovations, but they are ahead of schedule and plan to re-open on December 17! Check out our Facebook page for pictures of the updates. This is my favorite Sandals resort, so I am really excited to see it now!
