There has been some exciting news recently in the world of all-inclusive resorts! Sandals has recently announced four new resorts that will be available soon. There are three new resorts in Jamaica and one new resort in Curacao. If you have enjoyed a Sandals or Beaches resort before, I know you will want to visit one of these new options!
First, Sandals is expanding to their ninth Caribbean island, the island of Curacao! This island is famous for its culture, beaches, and amazing scuba diving sites! And soon you will be able to experience this island with all the luxury that is always included in a Sandals vacation along the Spanish Water Bay. This resort is a complete renovation of an existing resort, adding all the Sandals touches that are found in their resorts, like new expansive pools, a variety of Global Gourmet dining options and luxurious accommodations. The initial renovations will include 350 rooms and suites, including the all-new River Suites, with a further expansion planned in the future. Guests will also have access to the neighboring 18-hole Pete Dye championship golf course.
And if that’s not exciting enough, there are three new resorts coming to Jamaica! Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Dunn’s River are coming to Ocho Rios. Sandals Dunn’s River will be renovated from an existing resort, and Sandals Royal Dunn’s River will be a brand-new resort built on land adjacent to Sandals Dunn’s River that has been acquired by Sandals.
These resorts will offer the ultimate in luxury accommodations, with Sandals’ first Swim-up Rondoval with Rooftop 
Terrace, and Jamaica’s first Beachfront SkyPool Suites. The new Rondovals will offer an exposed top deck complete with a tranquility soaking tub for the ultimate in relaxation, while the SkyPool Suites will feature an infinity plunge pool that blends perfectly with the horizon.
The new Beaches Runaway Bay will be the perfect retreat for families. This newest Beaches will feature over 300 suites and more than 8 villages, with activities for the entire family. This resort will offer Beaches famous waterpark for the kids (and the parents!), as well as new activities like skateboarding, bike trails, a treehouse and more! And while the kids are having tons of fun, parents can relax and rejuvenate in the dedicated wellness areas, or just sit back and relax on the beach or at the pool.
All three of these new resorts in Jamaica are near such great sites as Dunn’s River Falls, the Ocho Rios Blue Hole and Jamaica’s most popular adventure park, Mystic Mountain. So, you’ll never be lacking in excursions with Island Routes to explore the beautiful country of Jamaica while you’re there.
We don’t have exact dates for the opening of these new resorts, but it looks like Sandals Curacao may open at the end of this year or the beginning of 2022. Ground was just broken last month on the Sandals Royal Dunn’s River site, so it may be well into 2023 before the new Jamaican resorts are ready for guests.
