Sandals Negr
il is just one of the 6 Sandals resorts in Jamaica. I have been fortunate enough to visit this resort twice, and it’s one of my favorites in Jamaica. This resort is one of the smaller Sandals resorts, and it has a lush, green, cozy feel to it.
Sandals Negril is a 12-acre resort with 226 rooms. This resort is located on Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach, and is set amongst lush palm groves, powdery white sand beach and the Caribbean Sea. Negril offers some of the best sunsets in the Caribbean, so this resort is definitely one of the most romantic options for you.
Just like other Sandals resorts, Sandals Negril has some fabulous dining! One of my favorites is Barefoot by the Sea. Here you can relax and put your feet in the sand while you enjoy delicious seafood dishes. Sandals Negril also has the fun Kimono’s restaurant, where you enjoy Japanese teppanyaki cooked right in front of you. It’s always a good show! Or just grab some amazing pizza from Bella Napoli to enjoy by the pool. There are 7 restaurants in all, so everyone will be able to find something that will soon become their favorite. Only 2 of the 7 restaurants require reservations, so make sure to secure your spot when you first arrive at the resort.
The most prominent feature of Sandals Negril is the Seven Mile Beach. This is the perfect place to relax with a good book, but make sure you enjoy some of the many water sports that Sandals offers. Don’t forget that all of these activities are included in your Sandals vacation, including scuba diving for certified divers. If you don’t scuba dive, then I highly recommend that you try a snorkel trip at least one day. And for some real fun, Sandals Negril offers water skiing, wakeboarding and tubing right off the beach! Of course the Seven Mile Beach is gorgeous, but don’t forget the pools too! Sandals just completely renovated their main pool at Sandals Negril last year. It is just beautiful!
Sandals Negril is a perfect spot for your destination wedding! The Beaches Negril is literally 5-10 minutes down the road, so it would be really easy to have your adult guests stay at Sandals Negril, and then families with children can stay at Beaches Negril. Your Beaches guests will then be able to go to Sandals Negril for the wedding festivities. And Sandals Negril offers a twilight wedding package so that you can say your “I-do’s” with Negril’s amazing sunset as your backdrop. So romantic! I actually have a wedding group doing this later this month. I can’t wait to see their pictures!
I love this resort for the beautiful beach and sunsets, and the coziness of the smaller resort. It just gives Sandals Negril a very luxurious and romantic feel, perfect for you and your significant other.
